📚 Learn the boring fundamentals

Whenever I'm learning something new, my default is to skim through the intro and jump into the later parts as soon as possible.

The simple stuff is kind of boring and feels like an annoying obstacle, I want to do the fun stuff already!

Turns out that this has a counter-productive effect on my growth, especially in the long-term.

Developing an intuition for something can only be done by mastering the fundamentals.

To truly learn anything, focus deeply on the core principles, and practice them until they become second nature.

Skyscrapers can only be built on solid foundations.
