💻 There's never been a better time to learn to code

Creating software is getting easier, faster, and more accessible. This lowers the barrier to entry and also raises the ceiling of what's possible.

With AI tools, programmers can do more in less time. That opens the door for more people to get into coding.

AI is a tool developers can use best. It's not a developer you can use. Big difference.

All the stats that say “N% of code is written by AI” are misleading. All of that code is still 100% reviewed and approved by a human. The only thing AI automates is the manual labor of typing. The stats might as well say “N% of code is written by laptop.”

But market competition forces companies to max out productivity. If other teams suddenly get tooling for their devs to become 10x more productive and ship more, faster and better, you're unlikely to sit on the sidelines cutting cost.

So we'll likely see more dev jobs than ever before.

Imagine you run an NBA team, and suddenly all your players get gear that lets them play like LeBron James. The common response wouldn't be to cut half the roster to save money.

Most coaches and team owners would be scrambling to sign more players. Your bench. Your G League affiliate. Even your cousin who played JV. Because now every team is superpowered. The game just leveled up.

There's never been a better time to learn to code.
