> **Why "Lound"?** It's a play on "sound" since the app is voice-driven. In Scots and Northern English dialects, "lound" means peace, tranquility, or calm. A "lound" day is hushed and peaceful. It also refers to a sheltered spot, like the lee side of a hill. The Wand of Peace (a wand of lound) was a symbolic rod used by Scottish Messengers-at-Arms to maintain public order.
